Title: LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNMENT AGENT, LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNMENT FILM, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY ELEMENT
Abstract:
Provided is a liquid crystal alignment agent that enables improving seal adhesiveness in a liquid crystal element to be sealed with a sealing agent, and also enables a resultant liquid crystal alignment film to not become in blackish-brown in color while retaining transparency and to have fine properties such as a pre-tilt angle and liquid crystal alignment. This liquid crystal alignment agent comprises at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of: polyamic acids obtained from a reaction between a tetracarboxylic acid dianhydride component, and a diamine component that contains a diamine having the structure of formula [1], a diamine having the structure of formula [2], and a diamine having the structure of formula [3]; and polyimides obtained by imidizing said polyamic acids.
