Title: ANGLE DETECTION MECHANISM AND ANGLE DETECTION SYSTEM
Abstract:
An angle detection mechanism for detecting the rotation angle of a rotating body (30) using a plurality of detection units having different output characteristics is provided with: a first detection unit (71) that constantly changes an output value (OV1) according to variation in the angle of the rotating body throughout the entirety of a predefined specific rotation range (RM) of the rotating body and is such that the amount of change in the output value in relation to a prescribed angular change is made to be greater in a first rotation range (LO1), which is a portion of the specific rotation range, than in the rotation range (HO1) outside of the first rotation range; and a second detection unit (72) that constantly changes an output value (OV2) according to variation in the angle of the rotating body throughout the entirety of the specific rotation range and is such that the amount of change in the output value in relation to a prescribed angular change is made to be greater in a second rotation range (HO2, MO2), which is a portion of the specific rotation range defined so as to include a rotation range different from the first rotation range, than in the rotation range (LO2) outside of the second rotation range.
