Abstract:
Provided is an electromagnetic wave absorbent material having excellent electrical conductivity and dispersibility and containing a carbon material suited for electromagnetic wave absorbent material, the electromagnetic wave absorbent material characterized by containing a fibrous carbon nanohorn aggregate for which a plurality of single layer carbon nanohorns are aggregated into a fibrous form. The fibrous carbon nanohorn aggregate contains a single layer carbon nanotube in the interior, and by fabricating this using a catalyst-containing carbon target that contains Fe, Ni, or Co alone or in a mixture, the fibrous carbon nanohorn aggregate including metal contained in the target is obtained.
