Abstract:
(EN) Color conversion films for a LCD (liquid crystal display) having RGB (red, green, blue) color filters, as well as such displays, formulations, precursors and methods are provided, which improve display performances with respect to color gamut, energy efficiency, materials and costs. The color conversion films absorb backlight illumination and convert the energy to green and/or red emission at high efficiency, specified wavelength ranges and narrow emission peaks. For example, rhodamine-based fluorescent compounds are used in matrices produced by sol gel processes and/or UV (ultraviolet) curing processes which are configured to stabilize the compounds and extend their lifetime - to provide the required emission specifications of the color conversion films. Film integration and display configurations further enhance the display performance with color conversion films utilizing various color conversion elements.
(FR) La présente invention a trait à des films de conversion de couleur pour un afficheur à cristaux liquides (LCD) comportant des filtres colorés RVB (rouge, vert, bleu), ainsi qu'à des afficheurs de ce type, à des formulations, à des précurseurs et à des procédés qui améliorent les performances d'affichage en termes de gamme de couleurs, de rendement énergétique, de matériaux et de coûts. Les films de conversion de couleur absorbent l'éclairage de rétroéclairage et ils convertissent l'énergie en émission verte et/ou rouge ayant un rendement élevé, des gammes de longueurs d'onde spécifiées et des pics d'émission étroits. Par exemple, des composés fluorescents à base de rhodamine sont utilisés dans des matrices produites par des méthodes sol-gel et/ou des méthodes de durcissement aux ultraviolets (UV) qui sont conçues pour stabiliser les composés et prolonger leur durée de vie, afin d'obtenir les caractéristiques d'émission exigées des films de conversion de couleur. L'intégration de film et les configurations d'affichage améliorent davantage les performances d'affichage avec des films de conversion de couleur utilisant divers éléments de conversion de couleur.
