Abstract:
(EN) A diagnostic method includes applying a vibration at a selected frequency to a location within a brain of a living subject (32). Electrical signals resulting from the vibration are measured at multiple positions on a scalp of the subject. The measured electrical signals are processed in order to compute an electrical gain matrix between the location within the brain and the positions on the scalp. Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals are measured at the multiple positions on the scalp. The EEG signals are filtered using the gain matrix in order to identify brain electrical activity originating from the location.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé de diagnostic comprenant l'application d'une vibration à une fréquence sélectionnée à un emplacement à l'intérieur d'un cerveau d'un sujet vivant (32). Des signaux électriques résultant de la vibration sont mesurés en de multiples positions sur le cuir chevelu du sujet. Les signaux électriques mesurés sont traités afin de calculer une matrice de gain électrique entre l'emplacement à l'intérieur du cerveau et les positions sur le cuir chevelu. Des signaux d'électroencéphalogramme (EEG) sont mesurés aux multiples positions sur le cuir chevelu. Les signaux EEG sont filtrés à l'aide de la matrice de gain afin d'identifier une activité électrique cérébrale provenant de l'emplacement.
