The invention relates to a friction clutch, in which, in a manner which is dependent on a change of a sensing spacing between the housing and the pressure plate, which sensing spacing is set in the case of a closing friction clutch, a positively locking connection takes place between a rotating device, which rotates a ramp system which is arranged between the pressure plate and the lever system, and a control device which controls the rotating device by means of the positively locking connection; wherein the rotating device is rotated by means of the control device in the case of an opening friction clutch; wherein the rotating device has a spindle which is arranged rotatably on the pressure plate, drives the ramp system and has a drive gear with an external profile, into which, at a predefined sensing spacing, a pawl of the control device engages with at least one tongue of a plurality of tongues which are arranged at a first end of the pawl, by way of the formation of the positively locking connection, and drives the rotating device during opening of the friction clutch; wherein the control device is fastened to the housing by way of a fastening section which extends at least in the radial direction, and the pawl extends in the axial direction towards the drive gear, starting from the housing and from the fastening section; wherein the pawl has a section which extends in the axial direction and a first end which adjoins the section, wherein the first end has the plurality of tongues which are arranged next to one another in a circumferential direction and are arranged spaced apart from one another by way of in each case one gap which extends along the axial direction, wherein at least one gap extends, starting from a tip of the tongue, which tip forms the positively locking connection, in the axial direction at most over 30% of a smallest spacing between the tip and the fastening section.
