The invention relates to a tubular reactor for dehydrogenation of liquid-phase alcohol and a method for dehydrogenation of liquid-phase alcohol. Most alcohol dehydrogenation reactions are endothermic reactions with a relatively high reaction temperature and a relatively low equilibrium conversion rate. In the invention, a tubular reactor having a membrane module selectively permeable to hydrogen is used, and a dehydrogenation reaction of liquid-phase alcohol and an oxidation reaction of gas-phase hydrogen are carried out on two sides of the membrane respectively: a product of the dehydrogenation reaction, hydrogen, timely permeates out of the reaction system, increasing the reaction rate and improving the equilibrium conversion rate of the reaction, while the permeated side can provide an appropriate amount of heat for the alcohol dehydrogenation by controlling the rate of the oxidation reaction, thereby achieving the purpose of heating in situ.
