Title: DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GENERATING TERAHERTZ WAVE HAVING ORBITAL ANGULAR MOMENTUM
Abstract:
A device and a method for generating a terahertz wave having orbital angular momentum are provided. The device for generating a terahertz wave having orbital angular momentum comprises a first laser (1) and a second laser (2). The first laser (1) emits a first laser beam (A), the second laser (2) emits a second laser beam (B), and a frequency difference between the first laser beam (A) and the second laser beam (B) is in the terahertz band. The generating device further comprises an orbital angular momentum generator (5), a focusing lens (8), and a terahertz radiation emitter (10). The first laser beam (A) passes through the orbital angular momentum generator (5) to obtain the first laser beam (A) having orbital angular momentum. The first laser beam (A) having orbital angular momentum and the second laser beam (B) are combined and are then incident on the terahertz radiation emitter (10). The terahertz radiation emitter (10) performs frequency mixing on and filters the first laser beam (A) having orbital angular momentum and the second laser beam (B) to obtain a terahertz wave having orbital angular momentum. By using a simple optical path design, terahertz beams having orbital angular momentum can be obtained with low loss and high efficiency.
