Abstract:
A high precision and long distance distributed optical fiber time transmission method and system in the field of optical fiber time-frequency transmission. The high precision and long distance distributed optical fiber transmission system comprises a first clock source, a first optical fiber time transmission unit, N relay and user units, M bi-directional optical amplification units, a second optical fiber time transmission unit, and a second clock source. Each of the relay and user units, while realizing optical-electrical-optical relay of forward and backward transmitted optical signals, obtains, according to a time interval between forward and backward timing signals received, a timing signal synchronous with the first clock source, thus achieving distributed optical fiber time transmission. The present invention ensures maximized symmetry of bi-directional timing delay of a main link by having bi-directional time signals pass through the same path, effectively prevents the influence of multiple optical amplifications of noise such as Rayleigh scattering on the stability of optical fiber time transmission by means of an optical-electrical-optical process, and achieves distributed time transmission by means of a time interval between the bi-directional timing signals received by relay and user units.
