Abstract:
(EN) A variety of controllers, control architectures, systems, methods and algorithms are described for controlling a host vehicle's participation in a platoon. In various embodiments, a vehicle platooning control system includes at least two of (i) a platoon controller, (ii) a gateway processor, and (iii) a vehicle interface controller. The platoon controller is configured to determine torque and braking requests for at least partially automatically controlling the host vehicle to platoon with a platoon partner. The gateway processor coordinates communications between a host vehicle and the platoon partner. The vehicle interface controller manages communications between the platoon controller and one or more host vehicle control units. The vehicle interface controller may also include a safety monitor that includes one or more safety monitoring algorithms that verify that platooning is safe.
(FR) L'invention concerne dispositifs de commande, architectures de commande, systèmes, procédés et algorithmes pour la commande de la participation d'un véhicule hôte dans un peloton. Selon divers modes de réalisation, un système de commande de peloton de véhicules comprend au moins deux éléments parmi (i) un dispositif de commande de peloton, (ii) un processeur de passerelle et (iii) un dispositif de commande d'interface de véhicule. Le système de commande de peloton est conçu de manière à déterminer des demandes de couple et de freinage pour commander automatiquement, au moins en partie, au véhicule hôte de former un peloton avec un partenaire de peloton.
