Abstract:
(EN) A method of sanitizing a surface is described that includes: (a) providing a pH control composition that includes at least one pH control agent (such as sodium bisulfate); (b) contacting a first feed aqueous stream with the pH control composition, thereby forming a first treated aqueous stream; (c) combining at least a portion of the first treated aqueous stream with a feed sanitizing aqueous stream that includes free available halogen, thereby forming a treated sanitizing aqueous stream that includes free available halogen (such as free available chlorine). The surface sanitizing method further includes, (d) elevating the temperature of the treated sanitizing aqueous stream, thereby forming a heated treated sanitizing aqueous stream having an elevated temperature that includes free available halogen. The heated treated sanitizing aqueous stream is applied to a surface to be sanitized (such as a poultry carcass surface).
(FR) La présente invention concerne un procédé de désinfection d’une surface qui comprend : (a) la fourniture d’une composition de régulation de pH qui comprend au moins un agent de régulation de pH (tel que le bisulfate de sodium) ; (b) la mise en contact d’un premier courant aqueux d’alimentation avec la composition de régulation de pH, de façon à former ainsi un premier flux aqueux traité ; (c) combinaison d’au moins une partie du premier flux aqueux traité avec un flux aqueux de désinfection d’alimentation qui comprend un halogène disponible libre, de façon à former un flux aqueux désinfectant traité qui comprend un halogène disponible libre (tel qu’un chlore libre disponible). Le procédé de désinfection de surface comprend en outre, (d) l’élévation de la température du flux aqueux désinfectant traité, de façon à former un flux aqueux désinfectant traité chauffé ayant une température élevée qui comprend un halogène disponible libre. Le flux aqueux désinfectant traité chauffé est appliqué sur une surface devant être désinfectée (telle qu’une surface de carcasse de volaille).
