Abstract:
(EN) In some embodiments, an apparatus comprises at least one module. Each module comprises a first substrate, and a second substrate disposed over the first substrate. The module has a periphery. The module includes an array of pixels disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, and inside the periphery. Each pixel has an active area and an inactive area. The array of pixels has a first intra-modular separation distance between the active area of adjacent pixels in a first direction. A laser weld hermetically seals the first substrate to the second substrate along a portion of the periphery. The laser weld is disposed between the active area of the pixels and the periphery. The distance between the active area of the pixels and the periphery in the first direction is not more than 50% of the first intra-modular separation distance. Methods of making the apparatus are also described.
(FR) La présente invention porte, dans certains modes de réalisation, sur un appareil qui comprend au moins un module. Chaque module comprend un premier substrat et un second substrat disposé sur le premier substrat. Le module comporte une périphérie. Le module comprend un réseau de pixels disposé entre le premier substrat et le second substrat et à l'intérieur de la périphérie. Chaque pixel comporte une zone active et une zone inactive. Le réseau de pixels présente une première distance de séparation intra-modulaire entre la zone active de pixels adjacents dans une première direction. Une soudure laser scelle hermétiquement le premier substrat au second substrat le long d'une partie de la périphérie. La soudure laser est disposée entre la zone active des pixels et la périphérie. La distance entre la zone active des pixels et la périphérie dans la première direction est inférieure ou égale à 50 % de la première distance de séparation intra-modulaire. La présente invention porte également sur des procédés de fabrication de l'appareil.
