Abstract:
(EN) Methods, systems, and media for synchronizing media content using audio timecodes are provided. In some implementations, the method comprises: identifying, using a secondary device, a media content item that is being presented on a primary device; detecting, using the secondary device, a tone embedded within a portion of audio content of the media content item; identifying, using the secondary device, a current playback position of the media content item on the primary device based on the detected tone; determining, using the secondary device, supplemental content relevant to the media content item at the current playback position; and causing the supplemental content to be presented on the secondary device.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des procédés, des systèmes et des supports pour la synchronisation de contenus multimédias à l’aide de codes temporels audio. Dans certains modes de réalisation, le procédé comprend : l’identification, à l’aide d’un dispositif secondaire, d’un élément de contenu multimédia qui est présenté sur un dispositif primaire ; la détection, à l’aide du dispositif secondaire, d’une tonalité intégrée dans une partie du contenu audio de l’élément de contenu multimédia ; l’identification, à l’aide du dispositif secondaire, d’une position de lecture actuelle de l’élément de contenu multimédia sur le dispositif primaire sur la base de la tonalité détectée ; la détermination, à l’aide du dispositif secondaire, d’un contenu supplémentaire ayant un rapport avec l’élément de contenu multimédia à la position de lecture actuelle ; et le fait d’amener le contenu supplémentaire à être présenté sur le dispositif secondaire.
