Abstract:
(EN) A series of multi-dimensional acoustic standing waves is set up inside a growth volume of a bioreactor. The acoustic standing waves are used to hold a cell culture in place as a nutrient fluid stream flows through the cell culture. The nutrient fluid stream dislodges some cells from the cell culture, which can then be recovered for cell therapy applications. The cell culture continues to expand and reproduce, permitting continuous recovery of cells from the bioreactor.
(FR) Selon l'invention, une série d'ondes acoustiques stationnaires multidimensionnelles sont présentes à l'intérieur de l'espace de croissance d'un bioréacteur. Lesdites ondes acoustiques stationnaires sont utilisées pour maintenir en place une culture cellulaire alors qu'un flux de fluide nutritif s'écoule à travers ladite culture cellulaire. Le flux de fluide nutritif déloge certaines cellules de la culture cellulaire, qui peuvent ensuite être récupérées pour des applications de thérapie cellulaire. La culture cellulaire continue à se développer et à se reproduire, ce qui permet une récupération continue de cellules à partir du bioréacteur.
