The present system is a remote monitoring system for monitoring states of robots (2) from a location away from a user-side site (1). The system is equipped with: an analysis result data acquisition means (4) for acquiring analysis result data by analyzing motor current data of drive systems of the robots (2) at the user-side site (1); a data server (5) disposed at a remote location away from the user-side site (1) and used for recording the analysis result data acquired by the analysis result data acquisition means (4); a communication means (6) for transmitting the analysis result data to the data server (5); and portable terminals (7) for reading and displaying the analysis result data recorded in the data server (5). In the remote monitoring system, the amount of data to be transmitted from the user-side site to the remote location (communication amount) can be reduced.
