Title: SOLID FUEL PRODUCTION METHOD
Abstract:
The present invention addresses the issue of providing a production method for solid fuel, whereby a solid fuel having relatively high strength can be obtained from a powdered fuel. This production method for solid fuel compresses and molds coal-based powdered fuel and comprises: a step in which a pulverized fuel having a larger average particle diameter than the coal-based powdered fuel is mixed with the coal-based powdered fuel; a step in which the mixture obtained in the mixing step is compressed and molded; and a step in which some of the solid fuel obtained in the compression and molding step is pulverized. The production method is characterized by the solid fuel pulverized in the pulverization step being used as the pulverized fuel used in the mixing step. Ideally, the mixing ratio for pulverized fuel is 5%-50% by mass of the mixture in the mixing step. A binding coal powder having greater binding properties than the coal-based powdered fuel may be also mixed in in the mixing step. Ideally, the mixing ratio for binding coal powder is 5%-30% by mass of the mixture in the mixing step.
