Abstract:
This electromagnetic operation mechanism drive circuit is constituted by: a movable iron core (1); a pole-closure driving coil (2) driving the movable iron core (1); a pole-closing capacitor (4) supplying power to the pole-closure driving coil (2); a pole-closure driving switch element (5) controlling the supply of power to the pole-closure driving coil (2); a protection relay (7) provided between the pole-closure driving switch element (5) and the pole-closure driving coil (2); a pole-closing side overvoltage suppression circuit connected in parallel to the pole-closure driving switch element (5) and configured so that a pole-closing side loop circuit switch element (6) is connected in series to a pole-closing side loop circuit (10); and a pole-closing side voltage detection circuit (13) detecting the voltage of the pole-closing side loop circuit switch element (6). In this manner, even if a switch element of a pole-closing side overvoltage suppression circuit in a drive circuit for switching on and off electric power equipment is suffering from an open circuit failure, the interruption operation of the protection switch element can be stopped so that the pole-closing operation can be completed safely.
