Abstract:
Provided is a travelling trajectory estimation method whereby, even if part of another vehicle travelling around a vehicle is occluded, it is possible to estimate, with high accuracy, the travelling trajectory of the other vehicle. In this travelling trajectory estimation method, the position of another vehicle travelling around a vehicle is detected (S1), the travelling trajectory of the other vehicle is estimated on the basis of the position of the other vehicle (S2 to S7), when part of the other vehicle is occluded, a reference point of the other vehicle is set on the basis of the end opposite the direction from which the other vehicle is occluded from the left and right ends of the position of the other vehicle (S2, S4, S5), and the travelling trajectory of the other vehicle is estimated on the basis of a time series of the set reference point (S6, S7).
