Abstract:
(EN) An internal combustion engine comprising at least a crank case (B), which houses a cylinder (3), and a cylinder head (H), which is adapted to be coupled to the crank case, and a liquid cooling circuit (1), wherein the liquid cooling circuit comprises at least one inlet aperture (13) and at least one outlet aperture (17), a lower cooling chamber (8) housed in said cylinder head (H) in a position adjacent to a flame deck (14) of said cylinder head; an upper cooling chamber (5) housed in said cylinder head (H) above said lower chamber, so that said lower chamber is sandwiched between said upper chamber and said flame deck; wherein said inlet aperture is provided in said upper or lower chamber and said outlet aperture is provided in said lower or upper chamber, on a same side of the internal combustion engine, so that the cooling liquid runs in a substantially U-shaped path moving between said upper chamber and said lower chamber, transversely relative to a crankshaft of said engine.
(FR) L'invention concerne un moteur à combustion interne qui comprend au moins un carter de moteur (B) qui loge un cylindre (3) et une culasse (H), celle-ci étant conçue pour être accouplée au carter de moteur, et un circuit de refroidissement par liquide (1), le circuit de refroidissement par liquide comprenant au moins une ouverture d'entrée (13) et au moins une ouverture de sortie (17); une chambre de refroidissement inférieure (8) logée dans la culasse (H) dans une position adjacente à un plateau de flamme (14) de ladite culasse; une chambre de refroidissement supérieure (5) logée dans la culasse (H) au-dessus de la chambre inférieure, de sorte que la chambre inférieure est intercalée entre ladite chambre supérieure et ledit plateau de flamme; l'ouverture d'entrée étant disposée dans ladite chambre supérieure ou inférieure et l'ouverture de sortie étant disposée dans ladite chambre inférieure ou supérieure, du même côté du moteur à combustion interne, afin que le liquide de refroidissement coule dans un circuit sensiblement en U entre ladite chambre supérieure et ladite chambre inférieure, transversalement par rapport à un vilebrequin du moteur.
