Abstract:
(EN) An electrical connector (100) includes a housing (102) that defines a cavity at a mating end (106). A terminal retention (TR) block (126) is mounted to the housing within the cavity. The TR block defines multiple channels (132) configured to receive contacts therein. The channels include deflectable retention latches (172) configured to engage the contacts to retain the contacts in the channels. A terminal position assurance (TPA) clip (116) is mounted to a distal end (130) of the TR block within the cavity of the housing. The TPA clip is configured to block deflection of the retention latches to lock the contacts in the channels. The TPA clip has slots (118) that align with the channels of the TR block and receive distal tips of the contacts therethrough. The slots have tapered lead-ins (196) configured to guide the distal tips of the contacts from the channels into the slots.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un connecteur électrique (100) qui comprend un boîtier (102) qui définit une cavité au niveau d'une extrémité d'accouplement (106). Un bloc de retenue de borne (TR pour Terminal Retention) (126) est monté sur le boîtier à l'intérieur de la cavité. Le bloc de retenue de borne définit de multiples canaux (132) configurés de sorte à recevoir des contacts en son sein. Les canaux comprennent des verrous de retenue déformables (172) configurés de sorte à venir en prise avec les contacts pour retenir les contacts dans les canaux. Une attache d'assurance de position de borne (TPA pour Terminal Position Assurance) (116) est montée sur une extrémité distale (130) du bloc de retenue de borne à l'intérieur de la cavité du boîtier. L'attache d'assurance de position de borne est configurée de sorte à empêcher la déviation des verrous de retenue pour verrouiller les contacts dans les canaux.
