Abstract:
(EN) A device (40) for monitoring wear of a brake pad (12) in a braking system (10) in a vehicle (50) is disclosed. The brake pad (12) is connected to a brake cylinder (14) for applying braking force to a wheel (24). The braking system (10) comprises a brake line (26) connected between the brake cylinder (14) and a master cylinder (16). The braking system (10) comprises a motor (18) connected to the master cylinder (16), and a control unit (20) controlling the motor (18). The control unit (20) detects the wear of the brake pad (12) based on vibrations sensed at the motor (18) due to the movement of the brake pad (12) and the brake cylinder (14) when the vehicle (50) is in motion.
(FR) L'invention concerne un dispositif (40) qui permet de surveiller l'usure d'un patin de frein (12) dans un système de freinage (10) d'un véhicule (50). Le patin de frein (12) est relié à un cylindre de frein (14) servant à appliquer une force de freinage à une roue (24). Le système de freinage (10) comprend une conduite de frein (26) reliée entre le cylindre de frein (14) et un maître-cylindre de frein (16). Le système de freinage (10) comprend un moteur (18) relié au maître-cylindre de frein (16) et une unité de commande (20) qui commande le moteur (18). L'unité de commande (20) détecte l'usure du patin de frein (12) sur la base des vibrations perçues au niveau du moteur (18) du fait du mouvement du patin de frein (12) et du cylindre de frein (14) lorsque le véhicule (50) est en mouvement.
