Title: IRON MATERIAL FOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE-RESISTANT BEARING BUSHINGS, BEARING BUSHING MADE OF SAID MATERIAL, AND TURBOCHARGER HAVING SUCH A BEARING BUSHING
Abstract:
The invention relates to an iron material for bearing bushings which are exposed to highly elevated temperatures during use, to a corresponding high-temperature-resistant bearing bushing, and to a turbocharger having at least one such bearing bushing. The iron material is characterised by a material composition which contains, apart from iron, at least the alloy constituents carbon, silicon, manganese, nickel, chromium, molybdenum and tungsten in certain amounts. This material composition ensures sufficient temperature resistance and self-lubricating properties together with good machining properties and at a moderate price.
