Abstract:
A calibration-enabled blood pressure measurement apparatus (1) and method. The calibration-enabled blood pressure measurement apparatus (1) comprises: a pressure sensor (11) and a heart rate sensing chip (12) disposed within the blood pressure measurement apparatus (1). When the heart rate sensing chip (12) senses that the amplitude of a photoplethysmographic pulse wave (112) of a vessel (111) of a user is lower than a threshold, the pressure sensor (11) senses a pressure value applied on the vessel (111) by the blood pressure measurement apparatus. The pressure sensor (11) sends to a processor at least two sensed pressure values, and the processor performs computation according to the at least two sensed pressure values to complete blood pressure value calibration. The method of the present invention requires no additional apparatus to calibrate a computation model between a pulse wave transmission duration and an arterial pressure, thus enabling convenient operation, and effectively reducing a calibration error.
