(EN)The present technology relates generally to endovascular prostheses. More particularly, the disclosure relates to endovascular prostheses having a graft material and a stent structure attached with a suture, or a seam formed by a suture, where the suture has a coating that expands upon exposure to body fluids. The expansion allows for the coating to fill suture holes in the graft material so as to reduce or eliminate endoleaks.
(FR)La présente technologie concerne généralement des prothèses endovasculaires. Plus particulièrement, l’invention concerne des prothèses endovasculaires ayant un matériau de greffe et une structure de stent fixés à une suture, ou une couture formée d’une suture, la suture ayant un revêtement qui se dilate lors de l’exposition à des fluides corporels. La dilatation permet au revêtement de remplir des trous de suture dans le matériau de greffe de façon à réduire ou éliminer les endofuites.
