An egg poacher comprises a bowl tray (1) and a grip (2). The bowl tray (1) is a disc-shaped single structure. The bowl tray (1) has three or more downwardly recessed bowls (4). Each bowl (4) can hold a cracked egg. A hollow cavity is formed under a partition (3) between two downwardly recessed bowls (4). Upon poaching an egg, water swirling in the hollow cavity causes quick heat exchange between the boiling water and the bowl (4), thereby boiling the egg in the bowl (4) quickly. A water gate (7) can be provided in the bowl (4). A water curtain (8) is provided in front of the water gate (7). The water swirling in the hollow cavity under the partition (3) flows through the water gate (7) and enters the bowl (4). The water curtain (8) blocks and guides the water, such that the water flows substantially along the bottom or a side surface of the bowl (4), thereby stirring and rolling the egg. The above structure enables a poached egged to be made conveniently and quickly, and reduces dispersion of egg white into the boiling water.
