Abstract:
(EN) In the present invention, periods P1 through P3 are allocated when the power source for a liquid crystal display device 10 is turned off. During an afterimage erasing period P1, a gate line is driven similarly to normal operation and a correction voltage is applied to a source line, the correction voltage being generated by adding a pull-in voltage to the voltage of a common electrode. During a voltage drop period P2, zero voltage is applied to the gate line, the source line, and the common electrode. During a charge emission period P3, zero voltage is applied to the source line and the common electrode. During at least part of the charge emission period P3, a voltage that allows charges to move between the source line and a pixel electrode through a TFT is applied to the gate line. The display device is provided with a voltage retention unit for supplying substantially the same voltage as an input supply voltage at least until the end of the period P3 even after the input supply voltage declines. Thereby, flickering and screen burn-in which tend to occur when the power source is turned on again can be prevented.
(FR) Dans la présente invention, des périodes P1 à P3 sont attribuées lorsque la source d'alimentation d'un dispositif 10 d'affichage à cristaux liquides est éteinte. Pendant une période P1 d'effacement de post-image, une ligne de grille est excitée de manière similaire à un fonctionnement normal et une tension de correction est appliquée à une ligne de source, la tension de correction étant générée en additionnant une tension d'accrochage à la tension d'une électrode commune. Pendant une période P2 de chute de tension, une tension nulle est appliquée à la ligne de grille, à la ligne de source et à l'électrode commune. Pendant une période P3 d'émission de charges, une tension nulle est appliquée à la ligne de source et à l'électrode commune. Pendant au moins une partie de la période P3 d'émission de charges, une tension qui permet à des charges de se déplacer entre la ligne de source et une électrode de pixel à travers un TFT est appliquée à la ligne de grille. Le dispositif d'affichage est muni d'une unité de maintien de tension servant à fournir sensiblement la même tension qu'une tension d'alimentation d'entrée au moins jusqu'à la fin de la période P3, même après que la tension d'alimentation d'entrée a décru. Ainsi, le papillotement et le marquage d'écran qui tendent à se produire lorsque la source d'alimentation est rallumée peuvent être empêchés.
(JA) 液晶表示装置10の電源オフ時に期間P1~P3を設ける。残像消去期間P1では、ゲート線を通常動作時と同様に駆動し、ソース線に共通電極の電圧に引き込み電圧を加算した補正電圧を印加する。電圧降下期間P2では、ゲート線とソース線と共通電極にゼロ電圧を印加する。電荷放出期間P3では、ソース線と共通電極にゼロ電圧を印加し、電荷放出期間P3の少なくとも一部では、ゲート線に対してソース線と画素電極の間をTFTを経由して電荷が移動可能となる電圧を印加する。入力電源電圧が低下した後も、少なくとも期間P3の終了まで、入力電源電圧にほぼ等しい電圧を供給する電圧保持部を設ける。これにより、電源を再びオンしたときに発生するフリッカや焼き付きを防止する。
