A movable section 122 of a cut-and-clinch unit comprises a replacement section 144 formed with a second insertion hole 136 for cutting and clinching a lead, and a body section 143 to which the replacement section 144 is detachably attached. On the basis of imaging data, the opening position of the second insertion hole is computed as the mounting position of the replacement section to the body section. It is determined whether the difference between the computed opening position and a previously set standard position of the second insertion hole exceeds a threshold value. If the difference between the computed opening position and the standard position exceeds the threshold value, it is assumed that the replacement section has been replaced, and calibration is performed. That is, calibration is performed only when there is a possible error in the opening position of the second insertion hole due to replacement of the replacement section. Accordingly, it becomes possible to perform calibration only when necessary, and to prevent a decrease in productivity.
