Abstract:
(EN) The present invention generally relates to the use of a quaternary ammonium salt and a cationic (co)polymer to clarify sugar cane juice during the production of crystal or raw sugar. The invention also refers to a new process for producing crystal or raw sugar from sugar cane juice. More specifically, the present invention describes a process for improving the phosphatation clarification of crystal or raw sugar by adding a quaternary ammonium salt and a cationic (co)polymer before, during or just after the clarification step. A kit comprising a quaternary ammonium salt and a cationic (co)polymer is also provided.
(FR) La présente invention concerne généralement l'utilisation d'un sel d'ammonium quaternaire et d'un (co)polymère cationique pour clarifier le jus de canne à sucre pendant la production de sucre cristallisé ou brut. L'invention concerne également un nouveau procédé de production de sucre cristallisé ou brut à partir de jus de canne à sucre. Plus spécifiquement, la présente invention concerne un procédé permettant d'améliorer la clarification par phosphatation de sucre cristallisé ou brut par l'ajout avant, pendant ou juste après l’étape de clarification d’un sel d’ammonium quaternaire. L'invention concerne également un kit comprenant un sel d'ammonium quaternaire et un (co)polymère cationique.
