Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-Generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates Beyond 4th-Generation (4G) communication system such as Long Term Evolution (LTE). A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system comprises at least one transceiver and at least one processor operatively coupled with the at least one transceiver. The at least one processor is configured to control to receive, from a base station (BS), configuration information for channel state information (CSI) reporting, determine a plurality of combinations of resources a first channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) resource, a second CSI-RS resource, and a channel state information-interference measurement (CSI-IM) resource based on the configuration information, determine CSI values from the plurality of combinations of resources, and transmit, to the BS, a CSI report message including the CSI values.
