Abstract:
(EN) An optical characteristic of a coupled multi-core optical fiber is evaluated without core alignment, one of plural cores thereof being arranged as a center core at the center of a cladding thereof, a total number of spatial modes being a number of the cores or greater, (a fiber length) × (a power coupling coefficient between the cores) being 10 or greater. The coupled multi-core optical fiber is joined to a dummy fiber, having a core at the center of a cladding having the same shape and dimension as those of the coupled multi-core optical fiber, by causing one ends of the fibers to face each other and aligning the fibers with reference to the circumferences of the fibers. Light is launched to the coupled multi-core optical fiber joined to the dummy fiber, and a light measurement unit measures the light passing through the fibers.
(FR) L'invention concerne une caractéristique optique d'une fibre optique couplée à âmes multiples évaluée sans alignement d'âme, une des plusieurs âmes de celle-ci étant agencée comme âme centrale au centre d'une gaine de celle-ci, un nombre total de modes spatiaux étant un nombre d'âmes ou plus, (une longueur de fibre) × (un coefficient de couplage de puissance entre les âmes) étant supérieur ou égal à 10. La fibre optique couplée à âmes multiples est jointe à une fibre factice, ayant une âme au centre d'une gaine ayant la même forme et la même dimension que celles de la fibre optique couplée à âmes multiples, en amenant une extrémité des fibres à se faire face et en alignant les fibres par rapport aux circonférences des fibres. De la lumière est lancée sur la fibre optique couplée à âmes multiples jointe à la fibre factice et une unité de mesure de lumière mesure la lumière traversant les fibres.
