Title: METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING CE-DOPED YAG LIGHT-EMITTING CERAMIC
Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a Ce-doped YAG light-emitting ceramic, comprising: (1) preparing a cerium oxide-yttrium oxide composite powder: reacting, in the presence of a precipitant, a cerium oxide nanopowder with a soluble yttrium salt solution to form a precursor for a coated cerium oxide-yttrium oxide composite powder, then roasting to obtain the coated cerium oxide-yttrium oxide composite powder wherein an yttrium oxide is coated on a surface of the cerium oxide nanopowder; and (2) manufacturing the Ce-doped YAG light-emitting ceramic: mixing the cerium oxide-yttrium oxide composite powder and an aluminum compound, then performing sintering pre-treatment and sintering to obtain the Ce-doped YAG light-emitting ceramic. The method allows full and uniform contact between the cerium and yttrium oxide and increases the reaction efficiency for the cerium to enter an yttrium crystal lattice, thereby improving a phase purity of a light-emitting ceramic.
