Abstract:
(EN) A radiation detector and detection method comprising one or more antineutrino capture sections having a plurality of cells. The cells including hydrogen, act as scintillators and contain a wavelength shifter. Also included are a plurality of neutron capture layers containing a neutron capture agent. The cells are disposed between said neutron capture layers. The layers act as scintillators to convert the radiation emission of a neutron capture to light for transmission to at least one of the cells and the cells and layers have different scintillation time constants.
(FR) La présente invention concerne un détecteur de rayonnement et un procédé de détection comprenant une ou plusieurs sections de capture d'antineutrino comportant une pluralité de cellules. Les cellules comprenant de l'hydrogène agissent en tant que scintillateurs et contiennent un dispositif de décalage de longueur d'onde. L’invention concerne en outre une pluralité de couches de capture de neutron contenant un agent de capture de neutron. Les cellules sont disposées entre lesdites couches de capture de neutron. Les couches agissent en tant que scintillateurs pour convertir l'émission de rayonnement d'une capture de neutron en lumière pour transmission à au moins une des cellules et les cellules et les couches ont des constantes de temps de scintillation différentes.
