(EN)This stroke simulator comprises: a cylinder (33) into which hydraulic pressure from a master cylinder is introduced; a piston (126) which is moved within the cylinder (33) by the hydraulic pressure; a reaction force spring (227) which urges the piston (126) against the hydraulic pressure; and a retainer (226) which defines the length of the reaction force spring (227). The retainer (226) has a cylindrical member (233) and a pin member (232) that is movable relatively to the cylindrical member (233). The cylindrical member (233) has disposed thereon a reaction force spring (277) on the outer peripheral side thereof, and an elastic member (209) on the inner peripheral side thereof.
