Abstract:
A quantum-dot-containing composition which comprises quantum dots and a ligand having coordinating groups that coordinate to the surface of the quantum dots, the ligand being represented by general formula I. In general formula I, A is an organic group containing one or more coordinating groups selected from among amino, carboxy, mercapto, phosphine, and phosphine oxide groups; Z is an (n+m+l)-valent organic linking group; R is a group containing an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl group; Y is a group having a polymer chain having a degree of polymerization of 3 or greater and containing, for example, a polyacrylate skeleton; and n and m are each independently 1 or a larger number and l is 0 or a larger number, n+m+l being an integer of 3 or larger. The number of the coordinating groups contained in the molecule is at least 2.
