[Problem] To maintain the performance of a layered rubber support during ordinary earthquakes, while suppressing a decline in energy absorption performance during earthquakes of longer duration. [Solution] A layered rubber support 1 equipped with a layered rubber body 6 which has one or more through-holes that vertically penetrate a layered rubber section obtained by alternatingly layering a rubber layer 2 and a reinforcing plate 3, and further equipped with one or more damping plugs (lead plugs) 9 which are sealed in the through-holes, wherein a plurality of damping plugs which are divided in the vertical direction are sealed inside the through-holes, and the outer-circumferential surfaces of the damping plugs contact or are near to the inner-circumferential surfaces of the reinforcing plates. Furthermore, TS≥26×TR×D-0.5, given that the total thickness of the reinforcing plates is TS, the total thickness of the rubber layers is TR, and the diameter when the layered rubber body is cylindrical when seen from above, the length of one side when square when seen from above, or the length of a short side when rectangular when seen from above is D.
