Abstract:
[Problem] To provide a metal surface treatment agent for electrolytic treatment whereby an Sn-based plating material can be endowed not only with the properties of can-making workability, film adhesion, coating material adhesion, corrosion resistance, sulfidation blackening resistance, and the like, but with discoloration resistance as well, and which is practical in deposition properties of a Zr-P-based coating film in a short time, stability of the metal surface treatment agent against Sn contamination, stability of the metal surface treatment agent over time, and other properties. [Solution] A metal surface treatment agent for an electrolytic treatment, containing one or more types of dissolved metal M components selected from the group consisting of a dissolved Zr component, a dissolved F component, a dissolved P component, a dissolved Zn component, a dissolved Mn component, and a dissolved Cu component, and one or more types of anions selected from the group consisting of nitrate, chloride, and sulfate ions, the ratio (Pw/Zrw) of the reduced mass (Pw) of elemental P of the dissolved P component and the reduced mass (Zrw) of elemental Zr of the dissolved Zr component being in the range of 0.04 to 0.5, and the mass ratio (Mw/Zrw) of the reduced mass (Mw) of the metal element of the dissolved metal M component and the reduced mass (Zrw) of elemental Zr of the dissolved Zr component being in the range of 0.05 to 2.5.
