Abstract:
(EN) An electrolyte layer (5) of a secondary battery (1) comprises a porous separator (51), which is impregnated with a nonaqueous electrolyte solution, and is arranged between a positive electrode layer (4) and a negative electrode layer (3) so as to be in contact with the electrode layers. An outer case (2) comprises a first outer case sheet (21) that covers a collector surface (41) of the positive electrode layer and a second outer case sheet (22) that covers a collector surface (31) of the negative electrode layer. The first outer case sheet also serves as a positive electrode lead part; and the second outer case sheet also serves as a negative electrode lead part. The outer case additionally comprises an insulating sealing part (23) that seals the space between the first outer case sheet and the second outer case sheet. Within the outer case of this secondary battery, a space (20) is formed between the outer peripheral part of the separator and the sealing interface where the first outer case sheet, the second outer case sheet and the sealing part are in contact with each other, and the electrolyte solution is not continuous between the separator and the sealing interface. Consequently, deterioration of this secondary battery 1 is able to be suppressed.
