Title: METHOD FOR SECURING ELECTRONIC COMPONENTS ON A FLEXIBLE, PARTICULARLY TEXTILE FABRIC
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for securing electronic components (8) on a flexible, particularly textile fabric, by means of program-controlled embroidering technology and an embroidering machine in order to produce the mechanical connection between the fabric and the electronic component on the one hand, and the electrical contacting and formation of conductive tracks on the other hand, wherein said electronic components can be arranged on a paillette-type carrier system. According to the invention, said paillette-type carrier system is designed as a tape-shaped construct with at least two adjacent strip-type regions such that a first strip (5) consists of guiding paillettes (1) and a second strip (6) consists of functional paillettes (7), said first and second strips each being connected by strut-type sections (10). Moreover, the guiding paillettes (1) have a defined but equal size, and the functional paillettes have a different and freely selectable size with a larger surface area, at least one expendable paillette (3) being located between each pair of guiding paillettes in the longitudinal strip direction for the purpose of compensating for the different surface area of guiding paillettes relative to functional paillettes. During the embroidering process, only the first strip is taken in by the conveying device of the embroidering machine.
