Abstract:
(EN) The present invention relates to betainised crosslinked polymeric microparticles, a composition comprising the same as a temperature-sensitive dispersion in water and its use in a method of modifying the penneability to water of a thief zone of a subterranean petroleum reservoir. In an aspect, the present invention provides a process for reducing the permeability to water of a thief zone of a porous and permeable subterranean petroleum reservoir, said process comprising: injecting a composition comprising a dispersion of betainised crosslinked polymeric microparticles in an aqueous fluid down a well and into a thief zone, wherein the betainised crosslinked polymeric microparticles have a transition temperature which is at or below the maximum temperature encountered in the thief zone and greater than the maximum temperature encountered in the well, and wherein the betainised crosslinked polymeric microparticles are solvated by water, expand in size and optionally aggregate in the thief zone when they encounter a temperature greater than the transition temperature so as to reduce the permeability of the thief zone to water.
(FR) La présente invention concerne des microparticules polymères réticulées bétaïnisées, une composition les comprenant en tant que dispersion sensible à la température dans l'eau et son utilisation dans un procédé de modification de la perméabilité à l'eau d'une zone de perte de circulation d'un réservoir de pétrole souterrain. Dans un aspect, la présente invention concerne un procédé pour réduire la perméabilité à l'eau d'une zone de perte de circulation d'un réservoir de pétrole souterrain, poreux et perméable, ledit procédé consistant à : injecter une composition comprenant une dispersion de microparticules polymères réticulées bétaïnisées dans un fluide aqueux vers le bas d'un puits et dans une zone de perte de circulation, les microparticules polymères réticulées bétaïnisées présentant une température de transition qui est égale ou inférieure à la température maximale rencontrée dans la zone de perte de circulation et supérieure à la température maximale rencontrée dans le puits et les microparticules polymères réticulées bétaïnisées étant solvatées par de l'eau, expansées et se regroupant éventuellement dans la zone de perte de circulation lorsqu'elles rencontrent une température supérieure à la température de transition de manière à réduire la perméabilité à l'eau de la zone de perte de circulation.
