Title: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PREPARING POLYMER DISPERSED LIQUID CRYSTAL HOLOGRAPHIC GRATING
Abstract:
Disclosed are a system and method for preparing a polymer dispersed liquid crystal holographic grating. The system comprises: a laser (100) for emitting a laser; a beam expander (200) for performing beam expansion on a laser beam; a beam splitter prism (300) for splitting the expanded laser beams into a first split light beam and a second split light beam; a first reflector (410) for reflecting the first split light beam to a liquid crystal cell (600); a second reflector (420) for reflecting the second split light beam to the liquid crystal cell (600); the liquid crystal cell (600) for receiving the first split light beam and the second split light beam, wherein the first split light beam and the second split light beam form an interference fringe to expose a polymer dispersed liquid crystal in the liquid crystal cell (600), so as to form a polymer dispersed liquid crystal holographic grating; and at least one attenuation slice (510, 520) provided on a light path between the beam expander (200) and the liquid crystal cell (600), wherein same is used for gradually attenuating a laser passing through the attenuation slice (510, 520) along a first set curve, so as to progressively decrease the diffraction efficiency of the polymer dispersed liquid crystal holographic grating along the second set curve. The present invention can be used for preparing, on a large scale, gratings with the diffraction efficiency being changed along a set curve.
