|Title:||CATALYST FOR THE SELECTIVE OXIDATION OF HYDROGEN SULPHIDE (VARIANTS) AND PROCESSES USING SAME|
Proposed are catalysts for the selective oxidation of hydrogen sulphide into sulphur in gases of different origin containing 0.3-15.0 vol% hydrogen sulphide, and processes using said catalysts. A catalyst contains iron compounds, silicates and/or aluminosilicates in an amount of 1.0-40.0 wt% and compounds of phosphorus and/or borium, and has the following composition, in terms of oxide, (in wt%): 36.0-85.0 Fe2O3, 4.0-25.0 P2O5/B2O5, 1.0-40.0 silicates and/or aluminosilicates. According to a second variant, the catalyst additionally contains at least one compound of a metal selected from the group: cobalt, manganese, zinc, chromium, copper, nickel, titanium, molybdenum, tungsten and vanadium in an amount of 0.1-30.0 wt%. The technical result of the proposed invention is an iron-containing catalyst for the selective oxidation of hydrogen sulphide into elemental sulphur, which is characterized by an optimal texture: a reduced bulk density, an increased pore volume and an average pore diameter of 300-1800 Å, and which provides for a sulphur yield of not less than 85% in a temperature range of 180-300ºC in multi-component gas mixtures containing 0.3-15 vol% H2S, 40 vol% water vapour, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, hydrogen, hydrocarbons and nitrogen, at a ratio of O2/H2S in a range of 0.15-5.0; and also variants of iron-containing catalysts for the selective oxidation of hydrogen sulphide and processes for the oxidation of hydrogen sulphide on iron-containing catalysts with an optimal texture, which can be used according to process conditions in different technologies for desulphurizing Claus process exhaust gases, and for purifying biogases, gases of natural origin, fuel gases, coke-oven gases and exhaust gases from chemical factories.
