(EN) The present invention relates to a coupling, which simultaneously connects two adjacent pipes in a longitudinal direction and maintains watertightness, and in which a plurality of split circular arc-shaped segments are coupled in one ring shape, plate-shaped flanges facing each other so as to couple the adjacent segments are formed at both ends of each segment, and the flanges have bolt holes passing therethrough, and thus when the end portions of the pair of pipes are positioned in a hollow hole formed by the plurality of segments coupled in the ring shape, a bolt is inserted through the bolt holes formed at the flanges facing each other, and then fastened by a nut, such that the pair of pipes are connected to each other. More specifically, the present invention relates to the coupling having a packing member inserted therein and mounted along the inner periphery of the coupling so as to maintain watertightness, wherein the packing member comprises: a body having a hollow body shape; and wing parts bent toward the inner periphery of the body, such that a fluid accommodating part, which is a space for accommodating fluid, is formed between the wing parts and the inner surface of the body, and a preventing protrusion protruding toward a center portion of the packing member is formed at the end portion of the wing part such that the end portions of the pipes inserted into both ends of the packing member are inserted so as to come into contact with the preventing protrusion of the packing member, such that the coupling has a predetermined watertightness and degree to which insertion occurs. The coupling of the present invention has remarkable effects of: completely preventing the leakage of the fluid to the outside since the packing member having the fluid accommodating part, which is a space for accommodating the fluid initially leaking, is mounted therein; enabling the fluid to be prevented from continuously leaking since the fluid having initially leaked is accommodated in the fluid accommodating part such that pressure generated by the fluid increases so as to more tightly seal the fluid; and easily and conveniently connecting the pipes since the preventing protrusion protruding in the circumferential direction is formed at the inner periphery of the packing member, thereby enabling each pipe inserted into both ends of the coupling to be accurately mounted; and the like.
