Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a substrate for surface acoustic wave elements, which has high thermal conductivity. A substrate for surface acoustic wave elements according to the present invention is characterized by being formed of a lithium magnesium niobate single crystal wherein the atomic ratio of Li to Nb satisfies 0.9048 ≤ Li/Nb ≤ 0.9685 and the content ratio of Mg is from 1% by mole to 9% by mole (inclusive), or by being formed of a lithium magnesium tantalate single crystal wherein the atomic ratio of Li to Ta satisfies 0.9048 ≤ Li/Ta ≤ 0.9685 and the content ratio of Mg is from 1% by mole to 9% by mole (inclusive).
