Title: REDUCED IRON PRODUCTION DEVICE, AND REDUCED IRON PRODUCTION METHOD
Abstract:
Provided are a reduced iron production device (1) and a reduced iron production method with which it is possible to prevent a reduction reaction of an iron oxide by a reducing gas from being suppressed by a carburizing gas when the reducing gas and the carburizing gas are continuously supplied in the production of reduced iron having carbon added thereto. The reduced iron production device (1) reduces an iron oxide by introducing a reducing gas to a raw material containing the iron oxide to produce reduced iron. The reduced iron production device (1) is equipped with a main body (2) and a carburizing gas discharge unit (3). The main body (2) has a carburizing gas guide inlet (9) for guiding a carburizing gas, which contains carbon for carburizing the reduced iron in order to add carbon thereto, into a space (5). The carburizing gas guide inlet (9) is provided below a reducing gas guide inlet (8). The carburizing gas discharge unit (3) has a carburizing gas intake inlet (13) disposed at a height equal to or below the height of the reducing gas guide inlet (8), and discharges gas containing the carburizing gas inside the space (5) through the carburizing gas intake inlet (13) to outside of the space (5).
