The present invention relates to a wet multi-plate clutch in which the hydraulic chamber rotates, and which improves gas mileage as a result of reducing the load on a clutch hydraulic oil-driving oil pump for clutch engagement operations and achieves structural simplification as a result of omitting a canceller chamber. The outer circumference of a disc spring (46) is supported by a clutch drum (10) and the inner circumference contacts a disc spring-pressing part (12-1) of a piston (12). The disc spring (46) faces a clutch pack (20) on the side opposite from the piston (12). Advancement of the piston (12) due to hydraulic pressure in the hydraulic chamber (32) is transmitted to the clutch pack (20) via the disc spring (46) and puts the clutch pack (20) in an engaged state. Piston (12)-driving force due to hydraulic oil pressure is enhanced by the lever ratio a/b of the disc spring (46) and is transmitted to the clutch pack (20). The disc spring (46) extends to the disc spring-pressing part (12-1) without interfering with the piston (12) and retracts the piston (12) to disengage the clutch by means of a large return spring force that results from an increase in spring force due to increased spring length.
