The invention relates to a fuel cell comprising a membrane/electrode assembly (14) that includes: - a proton exchange membrane (2); - an anode (31) which is in contact with a first surface of the membrane and which contains a mixture including a proton conducting polymer and platinum supported by carbon powder; - said mixture further includes additional carbon which does not support any catalyst and which has a minimum specific surface area BET of 200m²/g. The membrane/electrode assembly (14) has a first active region (21) that is covered by the anode (31), and a first joining region (22) that is not covered by the anode (31).

L'invention concerne une pile à combustible incluant un assemblage membrane/électrodes (14), comprenant : -une membrane échangeuse de protons (2); -une anode (31) en contact avec une première face de la membrane et incluant un mélange incluant un polymère conducteur protonique et du platine supporté par de la poudre de carbone; -ledit mélange inclut en outre du carbone additionnel ne supportant pas de catalyseur et présentant une surface spécifique BET au moins égale à 200m²/g. L'assemblage membrane/électrodes (14) comporte une première zone active (21) recouverte par l'anode (31), et une première zone de liaison (22) non recouverte par ladite anode (31).
