(EN)The present invention relates to hydrometallurgical technologies wherein liquid-liquid extraction, also called solvent extraction, is used to separate and concentrate metal ions. More particularly the invention relates to solvent extraction of copper and a diluent useful in copper solvent extraction. The invention provides a bio-based composition which fulfills physico-chemical properties that are required for solvent extraction. Moreover, the invention provides a composition, which in addition to providing more environmental friendly alternative, also improves the solvent extraction process of copper.
(FR)La présente invention concerne des technologies hydrométallurgiques dans lesquelles l'extraction liquide-liquide, également appelée extraction par solvant, est utilisée pour séparer et concentrer des ions métalliques. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne l'extraction par solvant du cuivre et d'un diluant utile dans l'extraction du solvant de cuivre. L'invention concerne une composition à base biologique qui satisfait aux propriétés physico-chimiques requises pour l'extraction par solvant. En outre, l'invention concerne une composition qui, en plus de fournir une alternative plus écologique, améliore également le procédé d'extraction par solvant du cuivre.
