Abstract

A laryngoscope has a blade (2) pivoted to a handle (1), and a light emitter lamp (8) on the blade powered from a battery power source (10). A block formation (27) at the rear end (23) of the blade, at which it is pivoted (3) to the head of the handle, incorporates a power source housing (5) for the battery (10). The power source housing has a cover flap (55) which cannot be opened in the operating position of the blade, but can be opened for removal of the power source in the folded position, or with the blade detached. This facilitates disposal and recycling. Electrical connectors (7) lead from the power source housing (5) to the light emitter lamp (8), and the rear end block (27) of the blade has an external switch actuator (91) which engages the head of the handle when the blade is extended to turn on the lamp. The power source, power source housing, electrical connectors and light emitter may be combined into the casing (6) of a discrete lighting module (22) incorporated in the blade.

La présente invention concerne un laryngoscope qui comprend une lame (2) pivotant par rapport à un manche (1), et une lampe émettrice de lumière (8) sur la lame alimentée par une source d’alimentation par batterie (10). Une formation de bloc (27) à l’extrémité arrière (23) de la lame, sur laquelle elle pivote (3) par rapport à la tête du manche, incorpore un boîtier de source d’alimentation (5) pour la batterie (10). Le boîtier de source d’alimentation comporte un volet de couverture (55) qui ne peut pas être ouvert dans la position opérationnelle de la lame, mais peut être ouvert pour le retrait de la source d’alimentation dans la position pliée, ou avec la lame détachée. Cela facilite le retrait et le recyclage. Des connecteurs électriques (7) conduisent du boîtier de source d’alimentation (5) à la lampe d’émission de lumière (8), et le bloc d’extrémité arrière (27) de la lame comporte un actionneur de commutateur externe (91) qui met en prise la tête du manche lorsque la lame est déployée pour activer la lampe. La source d’alimentation, le boîtier de source d’alimentation, les connecteurs électriques et l’émetteur de lumière peuvent être combinés dans le boîtier (6) d’un module d’éclairage discret (22) incorporé dans la lame.
