Abstract:
(EN) The subject of the present invention is a method for measuring a height (Hi, hi) relating to a wave by a device (10) mounted on a surfboard (4) used by a surfer (3). The method comprises the steps, implemented by the device, of detecting (S2, S5) at least one bottom point (PBi) from which the board (4) begins an ascent phase on the wave (1), of detecting (S3), at least one top point (PHi) from which the board (4) commences a descent phase on the wave (1) in the direction of propagation of the wave (1), and of calculating a height (Hi, hi) relating to the wave (1) by determining the absolute difference between the height of the detected bottom point (PBi) and the height of the detected top point (PHi).
(FR) La présente invention a pour objet un procédé de mesure d'une hauteur (Hi, hi) relative à une vague par un dispositif (10) monté sur une planche de surf (4) utilisée par un surfeur (3). Le procédé comprend les étapes, mises en oeuvre par le dispositif, de détection (S2, S5) d'au moins un point bas (PBi) à partir duquel la planche (4) entame une phase d'ascension sur la vague (1), de détection (S3), d'un moins un point haut (PHi) à partir duquel la planche (4) amorce une phase de descente sur la vague (1) dans le sens de propagation de la vague (1), et de calcul d'une hauteur (Hi, hi) relative à la vague (1) en déterminant la différence absolue entre la hauteur du point bas (PBi) détecté et la hauteur du point haut détecté (PHi).
