Abstract:
(EN) A method for extracting metal ions from water is provided that includes disposing two electrically conductive electrodes in water, where the water includes a target ion species in solution, where at least one of the electrically conductive electrodes is a functionalized electrode having species-specific adsorption of the target ion species, and providing electrical current to the electrically conductive electrodes such that the one or more target ion species are deposited to metallic form or metal oxides at the functionalized electrode by one or more electrochemical reactions.
(FR) L'invention concerne un procédé d'extraction d'ions métalliques présents dans de l'eau, qui consiste à disposer deux électrodes électroconductrices dans de l'eau, l'eau comprenant une espèce d'ion cible en solution, au moins une des électrodes électroconductrices étant une électrode fonctionnalisée présentant une adsorption de l'espèce d'ion cible spécifique pour ladite espèce, et à fournir un courant électrique aux électrodes électroconductrices de sorte que l'espèce ou les espèces d'ions cibles soient déposées sous forme métallique ou d'oxydes métalliques au niveau de l'électrode fonctionnalisée par une ou plusieurs réactions électrochimiques.
